Before there was a gutter truck, there was fine interior woodwork — cabinetry, trim and stair joinery, where a sixteenth of an inch is the difference between finished and unfinished.
That is the standard we carried outside. A roofline is joinery too: it has to be square, it has to be sound underneath, and it has to still look right in ten winters’ time.
