Our Agreement &
Service Terms
The terms that apply when you use this website, request a quote, or have Pure Gutter Solutions carry out work on your property.
1. Introduction and Acceptance
These terms apply when you use this website, ask us for a quote, or have Pure Gutter Solutions carry out work on your property. They set out what you can expect from us and what we need from you.
By using the site or accepting a quote, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site or book work with us.
Where a signed contract, proposal or work order covers a specific job, that document governs that job. These terms fill the gaps around it; they do not override anything you have signed.
2. Who We Are
Pure Gutter Solutions LLC is an exterior finishing company based in Jackson, Michigan. We install and repair seamless gutters, gutter guards, fascia, soffit, aluminum trim wrap, permanent exterior lighting and heat tables, and we carry out roof line remodels across Southeast and South-Central Michigan.
We are licensed and insured in Michigan. Proof of licence and insurance is available on request before any work begins — ask and we will send it.
3. Using This Website
You may use this site to learn about our services, look at our work and contact us. You may not use it to do anything unlawful, to attempt to gain access to systems or accounts you are not entitled to, to scrape it at a scale that degrades it for other people, or to copy its content for a competing commercial purpose.
The text, photographs, layout and branding on this site belong to Pure Gutter Solutions or are licensed to us. You are welcome to share a link to any page. Reproducing substantial parts of the content elsewhere needs our written permission first.
We aim to keep the site accurate and available, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Service descriptions, images and any figures shown are for general information; the quote you receive is what is binding.
4. Quotes and Estimates
Quotes are free and carry no obligation. Here is how they work:
- A quote is based on what we can see and measure at the time. If conditions turn out to be different once work starts — hidden rot behind fascia, a roof edge that is out of true, structural damage that was not visible — we will stop, tell you what we have found, and agree the change with you before continuing.
- A quote covers the work described in it. Anything not written down is not included.
- Quotes are valid for a set period, after which material prices may have moved.
- Prices given over the phone or by message before a site visit are rough guidance only, not a quote.
Accepting a quote — in writing, by signature, by email, or by asking us to schedule the work — forms the agreement between us.
5. Scheduling, Access and Site Conditions
We will agree a date with you and keep you informed if it moves.
- Weather. This is exterior work at height. We will not put a crew on a ladder in high wind, ice or an electrical storm. If we postpone for weather we will rebook you as early as we can, at no cost to you.
- Access. We need safe access to the roof line and somewhere to set ladders. Please keep the working area clear of vehicles, and let us know about anything we cannot see — a septic field, an irrigation line, a dog in the yard, a neighbour’s boundary we would need to cross.
- Utilities and obstructions. Tell us about overhead service lines, satellite dishes, solar panels, alarm sensors or security cameras along the roof edge before we start.
- Someone on site. You do not usually need to be home, but we do need to be able to reach you by phone while we are working.
7. Changes, Cancellations and Rescheduling
If you want to cancel or reschedule
Tell us as early as you can and we will work with you. Because custom-formed gutter and special-order colours cannot be returned, a cancellation after materials are ordered or formed may leave a cost you are responsible for.
If we need to reschedule
We will tell you as soon as we know. Weather, a crew illness, or a previous job running long are the usual reasons. We do not charge you for a date we moved.
Your cancellation rights
For work sold at your home, state and federal law may give you a right to cancel within a set period after signing, and any such right applies regardless of what this page says.
6. Pricing, Payment and Deposits
The price in your accepted quote is the price, unless the work changes and you approve the change first.
- Deposit. Some jobs require a deposit before materials are ordered, particularly where gutter is formed to a custom colour or profile.
- Balance. The balance is due on completion.
- Late payment.
- Extra work. Anything beyond the quote is priced and agreed with you in writing before we do it. We will not carry out extra work and invoice you for it afterwards.
Quoted prices exclude sales tax unless the quote says otherwise.
8. Workmanship Guarantee and Manufacturer Warranties
There are two separate things here and it is worth keeping them apart.
Our workmanship guarantee
We guarantee our own installation — how the work was fitted, sealed, pitched and fixed. If something we installed fails because of how we installed it, we come back and put it right. This site refers to a lifetime workmanship guarantee; the exact duration, what counts as a covered failure, whether it transfers to a new owner, and how a claim is made are set out in your job paperwork.
Manufacturer warranties
Materials — aluminum coil, guards, lighting, heat cable — carry their own warranties from the companies that make them. Those are between you and the manufacturer, on the manufacturer’s terms, for the manufacturer’s period. We will tell you what applies and help you make a claim, but we do not control those terms and cannot extend them.
To make a workmanship claim, contact us using the details in section 16 with your address and a description of the problem. Photographs help.
9. What Is Not Covered
Being straight about the limits is fairer than discovering them during a claim. Our workmanship guarantee does not cover:
- Damage from storms, hail, high wind, falling branches, fire, flood or other events outside anyone’s control
- Ice damming, overflow or damage caused by gutters that have not been cleared of leaves and debris
- Blockages from leaves, shingle grit, nests or anything else that accumulates in normal use
- Damage caused by someone else working on the roof line after us, or by pressure washing, ladders leaned on the gutter, or Christmas-light clips
- Pre-existing problems we flagged and you asked us not to address — rotten fascia we were not contracted to replace, for example
- Movement, settlement or roof failure originating in the structure rather than in our work
- Normal weathering, fading of finishes, and ordinary wear
Gutters need clearing periodically, with or without guards. Guards reduce maintenance; they do not remove it.
10. Your Responsibilities
- Tell us accurately who owns the property, and get the owner’s permission if it is not yours
- Point out anything on or near the roof line we would not otherwise know about
- Give us safe access on the agreed date
- Move vehicles, garden furniture and anything fragile out of the working area
- Keep children and pets clear of ladders and the drop zone while we are working
- Look at the completed work and raise anything you are not happy with promptly, so we can fix it while we are still nearby
- Maintain the installation afterwards — principally by keeping the gutters clear
11. Permits, Codes and HOA Approval
Most gutter, fascia, soffit and trim work does not need a permit in our area, but some jobs do — particularly larger roof line remodels and anything involving electrical connection for permanent lighting or heat tables. Where a permit is required we will tell you, and the quote will say who is pulling it.
If your property is in a homeowners’ association or a historic district, approval for colours, profiles and lighting is your responsibility. We are happy to supply product details and specifications for a submission, but we cannot obtain approval on your behalf, and we cannot be responsible if an association later objects to work you asked us to carry out.
All work is carried out to applicable building codes and manufacturer installation instructions.
12. Photography and Marketing
We photograph our work — before, during and after — for our own records, for quality control, and sometimes for our website, social media or advertising.
These photographs show the building, not you, and we do not publish your name, your street address or any detail that identifies which house is yours. If you would rather we did not use photographs of your property at all, tell us at any point, before or after the job, and we will not use them. If something is already published, we will take it down.
13. Insurance and Liability
We carry liability insurance and workers’ compensation cover as required in Michigan. If we damage something of yours while working, tell us and we will put it right or claim for it.
What we are not responsible for: pre-existing defects we did not cause, damage arising from conditions you did not disclose, consequential losses such as lost income or alternative accommodation, and anything caused by another contractor’s work.
Beyond that, the extent to which our liability is limited is a legal question that depends on Michigan law and on what a court will enforce. We have deliberately not written a liability cap into this page rather than assert one that may not hold.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
14. If Something Goes Wrong
Talk to us first. Most problems are a callback, not a dispute, and we would far rather come back out than have you unhappy with our work. Call (517) 299-7021 or use the details in section 16, tell us what the issue is, and we will arrange to look at it.
If we cannot resolve it between us, the next step — mediation, arbitration or court — and where any claim is heard, are terms that need to be drafted properly rather than assumed.
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Michigan.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the business or the law changes. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. The version in force when you accepted your quote is the one that applies to that job — a later change to this page does not alter an agreement already made.
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
