How Pure Gutter Solutions collects, uses, shares and protects the information you give us when you request a quote, call us or browse this website.
1. Introduction
Pure Gutter Solutions LLC (“Pure Gutter Solutions”, “we”, “us”) installs seamless gutters, gutter guards, fascia, soffit, trim wrap and related exterior work for homeowners across Southeast and South-Central Michigan.
This policy explains what information we collect through this website and when you contact us, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what choices you have. It covers this website and the enquiries that reach us through it. It does not cover any other company’s website, even one we link to.
By using this site or sending us your details, you accept the practices described here. If you are not comfortable with them, please do not use the site or submit an enquiry.
2. Information We Collect
Information you give us directly
When you request a quote, fill in a form, or call us, we collect what you choose to tell us. That usually includes:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- The service you are interested in
- Your ZIP code or city, and sometimes your full property address so we can quote accurately
- Anything else you type into a form or tell us on a call — notes about your roofline, photos, timings, budget
We ask only for what we need to give you a useful answer. You do not have to give us anything, but if you leave out your phone number and email we have no way to send you a quote.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this one records some technical information whenever you visit:
- Your IP address
- Your browser type and version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visit and how long you spend on them
- The page or search that sent you here (the referring URL)
This is collected by our website software and by the analytics and advertising tools described in section 4. We use it to understand how the site performs, not to work out who you are.
3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser so it can recognise that browser on a later visit. Related technologies — pixels, tags and local storage — do much the same job.
The kinds this site uses
- Essential cookies. Needed for the site to work at all: holding a form’s contents while you fill it in, remembering a cookie choice, basic security. The site cannot function properly without these.
- Analytics cookies. Tell us which pages get visited, how people move through the site, and where they leave. Reported to us in aggregate, not per person.
- Advertising cookies. Let us measure which ads led to enquiries, and allow our ads to be shown to people who have already visited this site.
How to turn them off
You control cookies through your browser, not through us. Every major browser lets you block cookies, delete the ones already stored, or warn you before one is set — usually under Settings, then Privacy. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of this site working, such as a quote form submitting correctly. Blocking analytics and advertising cookies does not affect how the site works for you.
4. Third-Party Services
We use, or may use, services run by other companies. Each one handles data under its own privacy policy, which we do not control.
- Google Analytics 4. Measures site traffic and behaviour: pages viewed, time on site, device, approximate location derived from IP address, and the route taken through the site.
- Google Tag Manager. The container that loads our other tags. It collects nothing itself; it controls which of the tools below run.
- Google Ads, including remarketing and conversion tracking. Records that a visit or an enquiry followed one of our ads, and allows our ads to be shown to you on other sites after you have visited this one.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising tools. Where we run social advertising, the Meta pixel records visits and enquiries so campaigns can be measured and audiences built.
- Google Maps. Where a map is embedded, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, whether or not you interact with the map.
- Review widgets. Where reviews are displayed from a third-party platform, that platform may load its own scripts and cookies.
- Call tracking. Where we use a call-tracking service, the number shown on the site may be swapped for a tracking number, and the call’s date, time, duration and caller number are logged so we know which marketing produced the call.
If a call is recorded, you will be told so at the start of the call.
5. How We Use Your Information
We use what we collect to:
- Respond to quote requests and answer questions
- Schedule estimates, site visits and installations
- Provide customer service before, during and after the work, including warranty and follow-up
- Understand how the website is used so we can improve it
- Run marketing and advertising: measuring which campaigns work, and reaching homeowners likely to want this kind of work
- Keep business records and meet our legal, tax and insurance obligations
We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you.
6. SMS, Email and Phone Communications
When you submit a form or call us, you are asking us to get back to you — so we will, by phone, text or email, about that request. That is the point of the enquiry, and we treat it as your consent to be contacted about it.
Separately, we may send occasional marketing messages about services, offers or seasonal reminders. That part is optional and you can stop it at any time:
- Text messages. Reply STOP to any message.
- Email. Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email.
- Phone. Tell us on the call, or contact us using the details in section 14.
Opting out of marketing does not stop us contacting you about a job you have asked us to quote or carry out. Message and data rates may apply to text messages, depending on your mobile plan.
7. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We share it only in these situations:
- Service providers working on our behalf — our CRM, email and messaging tools, website hosting, scheduling software, payment processing and advertising platforms. They may use the information only to provide that service to us.
- Subcontractors and suppliers where a job requires it, for example passing an address so materials can be delivered to your property.
- When the law requires it — a subpoena, a court order, a lawful request from a public authority, or where we need to protect our rights, safety or property.
- A business transfer — if the business is sold or merged, customer records would transfer with it.
8. Data Retention
We keep information only as long as there is a reason to:
- Enquiries that did not become jobs. Kept for a period and then deleted, so we can pick the conversation back up if you return to us.
- Customer and job records. Kept longer, because workmanship guarantees, warranty claims, insurance and tax records all depend on them.
- Analytics and advertising data. Kept according to the retention setting of the platform holding it, usually measured in months rather than years.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or strip out the parts that identify you.
9. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold. This site is served over an encrypted connection, access to customer records is limited to the people who need it, and the services we rely on are chosen partly on their security record.
We would rather be straight with you about the limit of that. No method of transmitting data over the internet, and no method of storing it electronically, is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and nor can anyone who tells you otherwise. If we become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will act on it and notify you where we are required to.
10. Your Rights and Choices
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong or out of date
- Delete information we no longer have a legitimate reason to keep
- Stop sending you marketing
- Stop using your information for targeted advertising
To make a request, contact us using the details in section 14. We may need to confirm who you are first, so that we are not handing your details to someone else. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
You can also opt out of a good deal of ad tracking directly: Google’s Ads Settings control Google personalisation, and most browsers offer their own tracking protection.
This section describes those rights in general terms. Privacy laws differ by state and by country, and some of them grant specific rights with specific deadlines and specific wording. We have deliberately not claimed compliance with any particular law here. If the business needs jurisdiction-specific language, have this page reviewed by a qualified legal advisor before launch.
11. Children’s Privacy
This website is aimed at homeowners and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us using the details in section 14 and we will delete it.
12. Third-Party Links
This site links out to other websites — review platforms, manufacturers, social media, mapping services. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else’s site, governed by their privacy policy rather than this one. We are not responsible for their content or for how they handle your data. It is worth reading the privacy policy of any site you are about to share information with.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the business, the website or the law changes. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date shown at the top of this page. Significant changes will be made obvious rather than slipped in quietly. Checking this page from time to time is the best way to stay current.
